VENUE: His Majesty’s Theatre, Downstairs at the Maj

Lucy Williamson & Joe Louis Robinson

The night is bitter; the stars have lost their glitter…

Award-winning West End leading lady Lucy Williamson resurrects and retells the story of Hollywood’s most beloved star Judy Garland, in an evening of song, storytelling and powerhouse vocals.

Direct from her critically-acclaimed portrayal of Judy in the Crown Theatre production of The Boy From Oz, Lucy’s star-studded theatrical career includes the original West End cast of We Will Rock You, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia, Fame, countless concert appearances including the Royal Variety Performance, and alternate to Tracie Bennett in the original Judy Garland play End of the Rainbow.

From her most legendary moments in The Wizard of Oz and A Star Is Born to the tragedy that played out behind the scenes with her ongoing struggle with substance abuse and loneliness, Lucy’s intimate yet spectacular celebration of Ms Garland has thrilled and moved audiences the world over.

With music direction from Joe Louis Robinson, this WA premiere of Judy & Lucy features the iconic songs Get Happy, Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart and, of course, Somewhere Over The Rainbow — along with some gems from her lesser-known repertoire sung in the iconic voice the world fell in love with.
